Leaving marks – how is it possible for the children's library to have meaning in children’s lives?
A project supported by “Nordic Culture Point” (Kulturkontakt Nord) in 2007 – 2008.
We wish that a visit to our children’s library will leave marks in the child’s life. The children’s library will be an active place for procurement, a place that challenges children, a place that excites the senses. Based on what the library has the offer in literature, music, films and games. We are very conscious of that in order to be challenged and inspired, we need to look outside our own profession.
Leaving marks is about:
>Challenging children by the interior in the library. >Challenging the library staff by other professions. >To meet the world with a shared Nordic background and to return wiser. The participants in this project are: Regionsbibliotek Stockholm (Sweden), Deichmanske Bibliotek in Oslo (Norway) and the libraries in Frederikshavn and Hjørring (Denmark).
